Welp, I may have jumped the gun a bit. It looks like these things only take one hit to down, so killing just one should save my wretch from horrible, embarrassing death. So, Wretch J Attack south, Move 4 North

It looks like these things only take one hit to down. Indeed! The vast majority of mobs in this game will die in 1 hit. When you make an attack the result is either "it's dead" or "it's not." This prevents me from having to track health levels for everything. There are -some- creatures that have hit points like your Wretches do, but they're all sort of special cases...

Relinquishing control of Wretch F
I think this is a pretty swell thing you got here, Gravedust, I'm just not capable of keeping up right now and would probably miss every other refresh. Keep up the good work, anywho!

------------------------ The Herald of THE MASTER[/u] is heard! Praise THE MASTER[/u]!"[/i] ------------------------ • Wretch J dispatches a slime with a well placed hit, then stages a celebratory retreat. • Wretch G continues holding the doorway, smashing down another skeleton, though it takes another hit in return as the screeching, defleshed corpses file through the door one after another. • Wretch H continues to fight the good fight, turning a slime into a horrible (but no longer semi-sentient) puddle of goo, moments before another one oozes forward to take it's place. A huge bubble forms on it's surface and then suddenly bursts, spraying acid across H's front. • Wretch F blinks and shakes it's head, looking vaguely around it's surroudings, aware that something is different but not quite what it is. Gradually it decides it is because that comforting, whispering presence that was in it's head is now gone. Puzzled, it simply fidgets for a time before getting up and moving towards the gentle sound of water nearby. • Wretch A pays a visit to the healer to recieve a small infusion of health. ((As a brief clarification: Wretch HP doesn't have a cap or anything that needs to be trained, it can just be bought. It starts at 5 but can go as high as 20, basically just by healing up to that amount. You can buy any amount of healing per round at a rate of 1 coin per 1 hp.)) • Ratlings continue to squeak and shuffle around the abandoned library, and two dart out to nip at C and B, as well as F in the pool room, disconcerting it considerably. C of course gets hit because it seems to have some sort of critical weakness to ratlings... ;D: also it was my birthday yesterday I request nice things here or in the pod game. Yeah, I noticed... And I totally would have if I could, but I'm sort of barely keeping my head above water at the moment. Working 8 hour days on the rocketfish build Saturday and Sunday from now until the end of August, and during the week I'm still working out design stuff for scales as construction continues. There's another CORE fundraiser coming up, (I skated out of doing promo for it this time, but I'm still in charge of printing and I need to be at the actual event for setup and running the door.) and I need to organize a team for post-burn cleanup since I am now LNT lead because nobody else wanted to do it. So I'll need to build some sifters and collect some other stuff and people for that, as well as organize some volunteer incentive, because burn LNT sucks on a supernatural level. I'm thinking free beer and T-shirts. I also need to put together an invasion force for the main BPod map, and build an new map for the stealth mission things because I honestly wasn't expecting that to be a thing, but I'm rolling with it because it sounds fun. I'm REALLY hoping the stealth party does not get discovered; since that'll increase the overhead hugely and then I'll have to do ANOTHER extra mission. And I'll probably need to put together a collage of some sort for the local 4th of July parade to run in the paper. If you wonder how things like the Wretch A portraits happen, that's the result of using the leftover time after I complete a DW round to sketch for 30 mins to 1 hour before going to bed. So really it's the product of a week or two's worth of spare-change time, that stuff happens slowly. I was able to do the slime art because the power went out at work and I couldn't do anything else. =P So yeaaaah... Maybe next year? Happy Birthday though!

------------------------ The Herald of THE MASTER[/u] is heard! Our forces encircle the fortified city of Gezthemeril. Our ships blockade their harbor. They will surrender, or starve, or die. Praise THE MASTER[/u]!"[/i] ------------------------ • Wretch H bashes another slime into inanimate muck, then turns for the safety(?) of the northern chamber. • Wretch G cracks the spine of yet another skeleton, then edges out of the door in a strategic advance to the rear. • Wretch J charges southwards towards glory, slowing only slightly as H and G rush by in the opposite direction. ....Wonder what that's all abou- OH SWEET UNHOLY LORD, SKELETONS!!!!! • The Skeletons rattle and clank their way out of the dusty barracks, moving with unnerving quickness. One catches up to G and rather unsportingly hits it in the back, while the other two swarm around J, their shrieks made all the more terrifying by the fact that without lungs or vocal cords, nobody is really even sure how they make that noise in the first place. • Far and away, Wretch C splashes into the healing pool and sighs as some of it's injuries begin to mend slightly. • B and I wade into a literal rats nest, dispatching two, though B takes a bite in return, as does D, when one sneaks up behind it. Welp! So much for a deathless delve! Oooooh, there wasn't much chance of that anyway. There's a reason expendability is listed amongst a Wretch's primary attributes. I lost 2 wretches during my playtest, and I know what's in every room and what the mob behaviors are. =P (In my defense, the random spawn system keeps things unpredictable, as do the random mob movements) In a certain sense, it's better to die and learn your lesson right at the start, since you'll be back to where you were relatively quickly, rather than learn it with a A10,D15,M8 Wretch or something. (sorry for missing a day, it has been a bad week so far) No worries, it's a relaxed game so it's fine if you miss a day or two, (though it's possible you might get bit in the ass by a ratling if the dice put one next to you, apparently. >.>) Sorry to hear things aren't going so well. Hope that changes soon.
