Yes, I see what you're doing there... Just wanted to let you know before you go too crazy making a ton more that some things are going into the game at some point that will make having a tiny pod (or even a pod <120 size or so) a liability. It won't make micropods obsolete, but it'll be a very good counter to them. (and also potentially hilarious)

Haha, I'm slowly but surely working my way down to a size 5 pod!
Also, fingers crossed that your idea involves a Melee Weapon that resembles a Louisville Slugger. ;D

Ok, it sucks, and I would never pilot it in in a million years, but by god I designed a size 5 pod. Reactor Capactitor Size:1 Cost:165 Size:1 Cost:135 Energy:10 Mini:29 Cap:40 Mini:19 - Shield Melee Size:1 Cost:175 Size:1 Cost:205 Shield:40 Mini:19 Bonus:30 Mini:29 - Move Armor Cost:10 Size:1 Cost:3 50 points 5 points - Pod Size: 5 Cost: 693
No jump, minimal shield recharge, barely decent melee weapon, and completely vulnerable to any and all hacking attempts, it's basically the exact thing you specified that you never wanted in any of your games. I couldn't resist, I saw that challenge and I had to shoot for the stars.

By removing the shield and capacitor you can lessen the hack problem with a power 10 defensive deck (Cost: 20) and gain 6 jump (the max) from a 30 power jumpjet with 1 size reduction (Cost: 4); on the other hand you might want a ranged weapon, a size 1 energy weapon can be made, power 20, 1 focus and max (10) mini would cost 70.
So the base has 2 size, you have 3 trinkets you can put on and still be size 5 (or have the only addition be 3 size (with the melee) and save about 325).
I'm pretty sure though by the point of 5 size it would be smaller than the pilots... that gave me the mental image of a pod with the hack, the melee and the jump as a drunk midget wearing moon boots, a tin foil hat and a sword.

Well, you have to have the shield and cap. Otherwise, you've got a pod with no shield, and 5 points of armor. It just takes 1 lucky shot to kill it. As it is, it can weather up to 1 or 2 shots from most pods.

Still haven't had the time to run numbers on this idea but what I think I'm going to do is just say: "pods gotta be at least size 80 or they're too small to fit a pilot inside."
