My initial concept art. Proportion render (Final version is much changed, especially the gantry areas.) Project Logo (to go on kickstarter rewards and swag) By yours truly. Vertical rib sections, which are climbable to so you can reach the platform on top. I think that may have been 2 weeks ago. Opposite angle showing the mid-tail with the scales on. This was on Tuesday I think. We're up to scaling the vertical portion at this point. My ass, approximately 15' off the ground, putting the top platform on. Due to the proximity to the man and because the CORE projects burn BEFORE the man, we are limited in terms of project size and the materials we can use. so the CORE burn doesn't accidentally tet the man on fire early. We're allowed 20"x20'x20' dimensions, and we're using every inch of it. The platform stands at 16" with a 4" railing. Pretty nice view from up there. Pic was from about a month ago I think.

I'm not convinced about the scales, from the logo I thought it'd be a shiny chrome Art Deco fishrocket.
...I still love it. DO post more pics as the work nears completion. ;D

That's not at your parent's house is it? I can't figure out how you guys would fit it there. God no. The lot is behind a store owned by the project lead, roundabouts Park Ave in North park. Frock You, if you're familiar with the area. I'm not convinced about the scales, from the logo I thought it'd be a shiny chrome Art Deco fishrocket. ...I still love it. DO post more pics as the work nears completion. ;D Yeahp, That's how I originally intended it, but it's a group project really, and the group decided that fish have scales. I'm Art Co-Lead, (almost all positions are co-leads, having more than one allows for some redundancy (if one isn't around, ask the other) and keeps folks from going mad with power. In practice though I did do the majority of the design since the other Art Co had lots of family stuff and other important things to concentrate on, but this was understood from the start. But that still doesn't really mean I get to tell everyone what to do, it's more like they tell me what the want and I figure out how to make what they want look pretty and not suck. Much like my regular job, just with wood and in more dimensions. As of yesterday, it's actually going to get -less- complete from here on in, we're beginning to disassemble the thing in order to move it via truck to the playa. (where we'll have to put it together again.) I actually won't be able to take part in this, it's not possible for me to get that much time off work. By the time I do show up it should be fully assembled at it's final location. (*god snickers quietly in the background*)
