Thanks for your interest in the game!
While the mechanics are more or less set and ready to go, the world and main storyline hasn't really been developed yet, beyond some basics. Since that's the case, I'd like to get everyone's thoughts on what sort of game experience they're most interested in, so I can hopefully tailor something that's a in line with what most people are into.
If you could take a minute to answer the following questions for yourself, that'd be great: You don't need to make an account right now to post, though I will ask that you get an account when the game actually starts.
=================================
========= GAME TYPES ===============
=================================
The general format of the game is a 'west marches' style campaign, where multiple groups can go in adventures independent of one another, (or in one huge group, honestly, whatever works,) though everyone's contributions effect the overall world.
Inside of that framework, what sort of game experience are you more interested in?
[Brave New World]
Explore a new and unknown land with little outside support.
Emphasis on basebuilding, exploration and resource gathering.
Players will have a greater chance to define how their faction is perceived initially.
Higher chance to find high-quality items and Artifacts through exploration, but the basic staples of survival may be in limited supply.
[Civilized Sandbox]
Begin in an civilized, explored land, go where you want.
Preestablished and known history, lore, important people/events, etc.
More nonplayer factions to deal with initially, possibly higher quest variety.
Higher availability of high-quality items, but also higher cost. (More buy, less find)

===== PERSONAL PREFERENCES ===========
=================================
I'd like to know a little about your personal ideal regarding the tone, setting and RP content you'd most like.
Please rank the following categories on a scale from 1-10:
Seriousness (1-10) ==============================================================================================================
How serious do you like your game? Are you a fan of cheeky (or blatant) references, and do you enjoy intentionally goofy plotlines or characters?
Or do you prefer a realistic representation of an unfamiliar world, and more relatable characters for easier immersion?
(1: DBZ Abridged <-----> 10: Game of Thrones)
or would you like something that explores more off the beaten path and may see you encountering (or being) exotic species, or trekking through different planes of existance on a daily basis.
(1: Neverwinter Nights <-----> 10: Torment: Tides of Numenera)
Roleplay (1-10) ================================================================================================================
How important is roleplay to you? Would you rather consider just the technical and strategic aspects of the game and treat it more like a wargame,
or do you prefer to build in-character relationships with NPCs and PCs, and creating a narrative story or character arc through the game?
(1: Warcraft III <-----> 10: In character, all the time )
