This is a thread for suggestions of any kind regarding the game.
I promise that I will read every thing that is posted here and consider it carefully, however chances are pretty good I will not respond to posts.
If I like your changes they will appear in the game and I will credit you as the originator, but discussing (read: arguing over) why or why not I change or include something really sucks all the fun out of things for me.
So, I absolutely appreciate your input and enthusiasm, but I also really value having control over the game's direction, and it's a big part of the payoff I get for running these things.
So with all that out of the way, here are some suggestions on how to make an effective suggestion in this thread.
+ If you have a cool image of something in your head and you just want to write it down so I can see it, go right ahead, please. if it's cool it I'll try to work it in, somehow.
+ If you are proposing a new spell or ability, try to think of what mechanical purpose it would serve and how it can be integrated into the game systems that already exist.
I do appreciate ideas that are really cool, but if it breaks the core rules or requires altering them or creating a new system, that's a negative factor.
+ Simpler is better. If math is involved, try to make it the kind that people can do in their heads, especially if they have to do it often. Floored division is about as far as I want to push things.
+ If you are proposing a new system, make things easier for me to understand by showing some examples of how it would work, or perhaps simulate the results of a few rolls under different situations. I'll do this myself anyway, probably, but seeing that will help me 'get' what you're tying to accomplish.
+ Please be polite. This seems like common sense, and I doubt that'll be a problem for any of the folks here. But this is also the internet. I would never go as far as to reject a good suggestion because I don't like the person who suggested it... But I would definitely go almost that far.
