check the airships in the background. And if I'm not mistaken, those cars are bulbous because they're steam-powered and those are pressure tanks...

Yeah, well it is from Popular Science in 1925...I like how "spiral escalators" were their idea of high tech...makes me wonder when elevators were invented...hmmm...WIKIPEDIA.... GO!hmm...it seems there were freight elevators (the first powered by hydraulics) since the 1800s, but the first residential elevator was a mere 5 years into the future of that illustration....

the other brilliant thing is that the "living quarters and playgrounds" are near the top.
