<Scythian>By now you should be approaching Sundiver's last known position. As you can tell, it's a nasty sector of space. When the Sombra was destroyed it cast a few hundred trillion tons of rock into space, and some of it got caught in Culver's gravity well to form the Outer Ring. To say it's a mess is something of an understatement. Remember, you need to locate either the Sundiver, or it's wreckage. If nothing is showing on your scans you should try searching inside the dust nebulas, they are extremely hard to penetrate with long range sensors. Sundiver could be hiding in one of them… But so could pirates, so be cautious. Fighters and Interceptors make for good scouts, but they're vulnerable to microdebris, so tell your pilots to stay out of the heaviest concentrations. Good luck out there. ============================================ ::MISSION OBJECTIVES::Locate Sundiver [+40mil][+CLU Rep][+Moon Guard Rep] Disable or Destroy any pirates encountered [+10mil/ship] ------------------------------------------- ============================================ ::SCENARIO RULES::==================== ::MICRODEBRIS:: • At the end of each TURN (not each round) each ship or remote in an area effected by Microdebris will be subjected to a number of possible microdebris strikes. (Rolled as Damage 1 cannon attacks) The direction of the attacks on this map will be from right to left. ==================== ::MACRO-DEBRIS::---------------- • Macrodebris appears on the Battlespace map and moves a set number of squares in a particular direction at the end of every TURN* (not round). The red line with the circle shows where the Debris piece will move once the turn ends. If a Ship collides with a piece of macrodebris (or is hit by one when the debris moves at the turn's end) it is subjected to a directional attack depending on what angle the debris hit from, for 2(x10) damage. Remotes Units that come into contact with Macro-debris are destroyed. Microdebris can be targeted by weaponry and will be destroyed a roll of 5 or lower. * It's important to note that debris will move at the end of your enemy's turn as well as your own, so be careful where you park yourself, as debris will move twice before you can issue orders again. ==================== ::DUST NEBULA::Dust nebulas are extremely dense clouds of pulverized rock and dust. They are known for being extremely difficult to scan through, and due to the high concentrations of matter, also quickly degrade the power of energy weapons, limiting their effective range to nearly point blank. • Energy weapons cannot be fired from inside a dust nebula, unless the target is in an adjacent square. • Energy weapons that cross through any part of a Dust Nebula on the way to their target will be absorbed by the nebula and will not reach their target. Please indicate your ship and starting position inside the spawn zone:(also note that the spawn is inside a strength:2 microdebris field)

I'll start at C-06, so I can run someplace where I won't get smashed by rocks right on turn 1.
And what's the mecha-dino for? Another new game?

And what's the mecha-dino for? Another new game? Eh. I kind of wish... It's a promo image for a regional burning man event. The theme is "Robots & Dinosaurs Unite" So.. You know.. How could I not?

The rocks moved before we could? That makes my choice of start location a little dumb, but oh well.

The rocks moved before we could? Ehh. Procedueally if someone spawns in that's all they do that round, and then their turn ends. Since everyone was spawning in, it skipped all orders and went straight to where the debris stuff gets calculated. I will admit to having contrived y'all starting in a debris field to remind you what debris fields actually do, since it's been a loong time since they showed up. However in the future you should only get pranged by space rocks if you end your turn in a debris zone. edit: Crap I should have moved the asteroids this last round. Blah. That'll start happening next turn. >.>

I was planning to fly due south into the dust nebula on turn one, so I picked a start location that would let me do that. Now I'm kicking myself for not realizing that the asteroids were going to block me and... Wait. You didn't move the asteroids? ...oh. I didn't notice until now, but Krakatoah and I wound up in each other's spots. Now it all makes sense... I'm fine with positions as they are unless Krakatoah wants to switch.

I am at a public Library as I have no internet right now. If you don't mind just keep my ship on Krakatoah Tail and giving fire support. Should hopefully have access back by the end of the weekend.

Well, we have company. I guess I'll try to snipe a few missiles while they're going through the obstacle course. They have 10 movement now, right?

Not a great round for me... no cannon hits, whacked by a rock, and now the missiles are heading my way. Let's try this again and then retreat to buy one more turn before they strike.

Wonder who that is scurrying about the nebulae? Wouldn't be a bad idea to use interceptors with missile boats floating around.
BLU2 Turn Right Move South 1 Launch both interceptors. Move South 4 Fire Ions at Swarm #D if possible. Move South 1
Fighter A Move East 5 Move North 3, nosecheck the nebula!
Fighters B and D Move South 5 Move East 8

Fighter A Move East 2 Move South 6
Fighter B Just follow Fighter D, you should be at T18 when you're done.
Fighter D Move South 6 Move East 2
Interceptors G and H Move South 6 Move West 3 Engage the closest missile swarm.
