Regen happens at the end of all actions, basically like it did on Bpod. So the Energy you're shown at the beginning of the turn is what you've got to work with.

...well, crap. Fighters are lethal and it cuts both ways. So what happened there? They blew up the two engines and the hangar in column 11, which took out the rest of the starboard wing? Looks like Essex is home free, although we still have a shot at taking out Wasp. I'm not too keen on provoking them with my ship still in range, but there's no guarantee they won't shoot me anyway and damn it, I need some repair money. ...well, crap. Fighters are lethal and it cuts both ways. So what happened there? They blew up the two engines and the hangar in column 11, which took out the rest of the starboard wing? Yeah, the damage disconnected the starboard wing from the rest of the ship, which results in the loss of the disconnected compartments. ..Aaaand fighters are going to be rebalanced. I've already started on the updated sheets. Nothing too serious, just a few massaged stats.

(( ::SOME STUFF:: As I'm sort of developing this portion of the game as it happens, I was thinking this weekend about a different approach to upkeep and strategic phases. Rather than submit your choices as job opportunities, I'm just going to describe the general goings on in the sector and you can react them however you like. There will still be job offers from specific sources, but when it comes to creating your own objectives there will be more leeway. A "Sensor contacts" section will identify and give information about the other ships in the sector, that you can investigate, communicate with and/or attack as your main action for the update, as an alternative to the 'official' job offers. Note that the sensor information is not always complete OR accurate. Over long distances there is a lot about a ship that cannot be detected, and some ships may purposefully try to conceal information about themselves. Other ships may not show up at all, or may in fact be erroneous 'ghost' contacts. In general, the contacts higher in the list have a higher chance of having accurate information. You won't know the absolute truth about a contact though, until you motor out and get eyes on it, and from there decide what you want to do. While we're not he subject: ------------------------------------------------------- PIRACY GROUND RULES Committing an act of piracy against a faction will very quickly lower your rep with them, and after a while that faction and allied factions will begin hunting you. ---------- Vis Pacem will intervene if you target any station of any kind in-system or CLU-owned vessels (which are actually quite few), but may or may not intervene if you go after Independent or Corporate targets. They work for the CLU. ---------- Each moon (and station) has an independent Moon Guard, which will hunt you if you commit piracy in their moon's Sector, no matter who it is against. Their job is to keep the peace and promote security around the lunar colonies. Yeah, I don't like our chances here. They're all bigger than we are and much better shielded. Stormcat's help might make this doable, but we have to get shot at for 6 rounds first and then he takes some of the reward...

Do you already have a design in mind? Because if the only thing holding you up is putting an image of the ship together, I don't mind doing it this once... just post the design as ASCII or something and tell us what each character means.
For example, here's a Battle Brick:

Ja, as far as I'm concerned you can use a design made by anyone else, including NPC ships done by me. It just needs to be size 30.

Let's do it. I don't really want to mess with this bunch, and their plan is a pretty good deal for everyone. The companies want the Sombrans gone, these Sombrans want to be gone, and we make money. Everybody wins! And I'm sure nothing will go wrong!
We're going to have to escort a bunch of slow, helpless freighters back to these guys, aren't we. Oh well.
