INTRODUCTION
============
<Unnamed> is a game intended to be played by several players over a forum, and can be played as a primarily role-playing, or tactical/strategic experience, or a mix of both.
The game is built around facilitating a 'West Marches' style of campaign, with multiple groups out adventuring simultaneously, each effecting and influencing the state of the game world for everyone.
It features a classless progression system where players can build unique characters via a free selection of attribute bonuses, skills, spells. Most classic RPG classes can be replicated, but you can also try out new, unique, and specialized characters and playstyles.
A gear upgrade system lets you to further specialize your character to play up their strengths, or shore up their weaknesses.
The majority of the game will take place in two main phases, the Mission Phase, and the World Phase.

GAME PHASES
=========
-------------------
[The Mission Phase]
-------------------
The Mission phase consists of exploration and combat by a small group of charters on a separate Mission Map. Action on the Mission map will usually consist of exploration of the area and combat against enemies, so while on a Mission map, Combat rules apply to character actions.
(see the Character Stats and Combat rules to see how combat operates) Multiple Mission maps for multiple teams of characters in different locations may be run simultaneously.
When players complete a Mission Map they are automatically moved back to the World Phase, and any character that is not in a specific Mission is considered to be in the World Phase.
-------------------
[The World Phase]
-------------------
In the World Phase, characters are assumed to be residing in some town or other relatively danger-free region where they can rest, shop, and train, as well as interact freely with other player's characters and NPCs.
General actions that can be undertaken in the World phase are:
+ Shopping for new gear or equipment. (Shop contents for the area will be displayed on request)
+ Training to learn new Skills or Spells.
+ Speaking with NPCs known to the character. (a good way to advance a plot and/or possibly uncover new missions)
+ Moving from one region of the World to another (which can change the available gear, items, and can effect quest difficulty. Travel across significant distances may cost money.)
+ Accepting new quests and/or forming groups to go on quests.
(See the World Phase section for more details about what you can do, and how to manage your character in the World Phase)
The World Phase will not change from day to day (usually) but approximately once every week (On Mondays?) the World Phase will receive an update based on the players' actions and the general progessionof the worldstate.
Note that not taking or failing a quest can have as much of an effect as accepting one. Problems that aren't addressed tend to get worse over time!
