((Yikes.. Well the calc this time was enormous. >.< Basically everyone shot everything this round, and doing cannons and damage takes a while.. I did finish all the calc, but I'm a bit too zonked to to the writeup just now. Should have it finished by early tomorrow evening.))

Furie takes the worst of the fusillade, her flank suddenly pockmarked by a half-dozen hellholes. The exposed interior of her aft engine compartment glows red-hot for a brief moment before the engine tears itself apart with a horrible screech that can be heard on both ships. The portholes of Furie's entire mid-deck section are blown out on jets of steam as the stern drops dangerously before the pilot manages to wrestle it back under control.*Captain West: Yeah, see, that's more like it! <Radio> Come on Daryl, where you you? Get in on this! -Cordelia-Captain Whitney:<Radio> Right behind you… *Cordelia's forward cannon fires, sending two more shots into Furie.* -Ariel-Captain West: ...Not bad, not bad. Seconds later Grunwald replies with a volley in return, rocking the Shrike in midair.*Midge<Intercom>: Gaack!! Griz<Intercom>: ...Is everyone all right? Sun<Intercom> Hit rear cannon! Ok! Jukka:<Intercom> Rear turret holed. Having some difficulty with the damned turret motors. Shouldn't be too hard for the boy to handle. Griz<Intercom>: ..Midge? Are you still there? Midge<Intercom>: Hi! Yes! Sorry! …I fell off my chair. Six: *Points at a small ship flying up high in the distance.* Midge: Oh. Uh.. Uh-oh. -On the ground-Oliver Kirkland: Tanya! With me! *on the ground Kail gives a quick look around at the situation and frowns, reaching into his service jacket he comes out with a neat paper package with a fuse protruding out of a corner and tosses it to Bill*
Kail: Our support is occupied! We stay out here with those towers and it'll be a shooting gallery! Make us a door! Bill: That a good idea? What about the equipment we're fetching? Kail: They ain't gonna keep shit like that in the kitchen! Make the damn door! Bill: One door coming up! Kail: Jim! Lizard! Covering fire with me on that tower, keep their heads down! When the wall blows Bill and the Cordies are gonna lead the charge in, we're their fire support. HOY ROSY! COVER OVER HERE! Jim: Kneel down, give them less of a target. Lizard: Makes it harder to move out of the way. Jim: You can't see where they're aiming, dodging isn't an option. Lizard: Hell I can barely see them! Jim: Calm breaths, shoot when you exhale, stop trying to do trick shots and aim for center mass and muzzle flashes. Lizard: Right...right.. Kail: FIRE!

((if it helps any the peeps in the tower are Brown C and D. You can see their placers up in the upper-left corner. I think i'lllower the opacityon the splodeys next time.
ALSO. I forgot to change Cordy's altitude from 3 to 2 on that last board, I've got it fixed already for the next one. >.>))

A number of shots crack open the forward turret, which halts abruptly mid-traverse and does not fire. Furie staggers drunkenly, clearly struggling to stay aloft amidst fires and wrecked machinery. At almost the same moment two explosions rattle Ariel, as the Oakes soldier's sapper bombs detonate in unison, cutting a ragged hole in the deck above the aft bunkroom.*Captain West: Son of a bitch! -Furie-Captain Hahn<Radio>: Black ships, this is Furie... *cough* I'm striking colors, I got nothing left to fight you with. Aiming to set down before she burns out from under me. Guess it's up to you whether you'll let us or not... But if you cease fire and patch your radio to your comm I'll order my man aboard your ship to stand down... -Iron Shrike- Midge<Intercom>: What's that little ship up to? Jeez he's fast... Shin Kizami<Intercom>: Target closing! Jukka:<Intercom>: God damn it he's going to cross our bow! Midge<Intercom>: What? I- *Shell after shell slams into Shrike's forward compartments, shredding the forward turret armor and igniting a sudden fire. One shell drops lower than it's intented target and instead bores into the forward engine compartment. There is a tortured shriek of metal as the entire engine binds for a moment, and then with a hellish snap and bang one of the tertiary pressure vessels ruptures and the drive shroud disintegrates, shedding huge chunks of metal shrapnel in all directions, riding a enermous pressure wave that bowls down the mechanic working in the pressure room. The engine skips a beat and then doggedly continues running amid the hiss of escaping steam and a pronounced vibration from the exposed and suddenly misaligned main fan drive.*Midge<Intercom>: Oh my god oh my god! Shin Kizami:<Intercom>: Nngh.. Fire in cannon!! Stitch Finnigan:<Intercom>: We're all going to die! I knew it!! We have to get out of here!! Jukka<Intercom>: He's gone to starboard, traverse and fire if you still can. Fire dammit!! Aim for their engine! *Shrike's guns thunder, striking Grunwald along it's front. It'll cost 5k and she stays as an NPC, but will attack your targets and probably not double-cross you. You can agree to split the cost however you like too, I guess. Just a tacit reminder, since I messed up the scale of the ground map, each unit can move TWO squares per action (So a total of 4 for 2 Actions) And a reminder/explanation of fire behavior: Fire increases it's severity by 1/10th it's current severity every round. (unless the compartment it is in is destroyed, in which case it decreases by 10 per round.) Fires damage compartments for 1/10th it's severity. I.e. a Severity 50 fire does 5 compartment damage. Fires damage characters at 1/10th it's severity. this damage is soakable via toughness. A character that is in a compartment with a fire at the beginning of a round is subject to fire damage. Fire damage can cause malfunctions. Fires can spread in one of 4 directions. (up, down, forward or aft) Fire spread is blocked by intact bulkheads, but it it spreads in a direction that is open it will spawn a new fire in that area at 1/2 the intensity of the parent fire. Fire can travel up and down stairwells as though they were open bulkheads. ALSO: Something I undoubtedly should have mentioned a long time ago: If an enemy character is occupying a square (or compartment) it is not possible to move friendly troops into that square. So basically you can 'block' off a square by having people in it. *As red warning lights blitz all over the Shrikes operation panel, Midge stares on at them befuddled, the glowing panic on the panel reflecting on her own face. Suddenly an apple core strikes her in the head.*
Six: -We are WAITING- Midge: Oh...
*Quick as a wink Midge darts over and starts yanking off Six's prized naval frock coat*
Midge: GIMME! I need it!
*Six surprisingly enough relinquishes the coat, Midge dashes for the ladder pausing only to shout into the intercom*
Midge: *intercom* Roban! Griz! We're headed for that fire! Putting it out takes priority! Stitch! Get in there with Shin and the two of you see what you can do about the fire in there.
Six:-What about me?- Midge: Head for the Cordelia and Ariel!
*Sliding down the ladder with an agility born on the streets of Concordia she bursts through the door to the Bunkroom, which Stitch is staring at her like she's lost her mind*
Stitch: Damn it, I am doctor, not firefighter!
*Midge spares little time, kicking him in the shin and yelling at him shrilly, driving him back towards the door with lashings from Six's coat*
Midge: Get in that damn compartment or I swear by all that's holy I'll gut you and use the blood to hose down the deck! I am not DYING on some ship next to some old shriveled pedophile, and I'm not gonna let Grizzly die cause I'm busy yelling at you! GO GO GO!
*As Stitch retreats into the compartment, Midge flings the naval coat over the now red hot hatch wheel to the lower compartment. Grunting she flings herself into turning it, the wheel singeing her hands even through the wool coat, however after a few moments of exertion the hatch pops open. Shielding her face from the blazing inferno inside Midge calls in.*
Midge: GRIZ! We're comin for ya!

Bill: Hah! C'mon boys! I'll show you how the Irregulars do it! Lizard: How do the Irregulars do it? Kail: Quickly, quietly, oft from behind with whatever's handy. Lizard: ...really? ((Oh shit. I was going to mention this but then I didn't because I totally forgot. The ability to repair bulkheads is an Elite engineer skill. So Jazz if you wanna adjerst your last move you can. Actually what I think I'll do is change her Action to an engine Overcharge since that's what the other engie is doing. Lemme know if you want somethgin different.))

Okay, how does this sound: 2 rounds a week. The first expires on Monday at 5pm The 2nd expires on Thursday at 5pm (Or Friday if that happens to work better, but Thurs is a better day for me) We really do need to find a way to do 2 rounds a week though, at the current rate this is going to take 'too goddamn long' in clinical terms. We've been on this one mission since late January.

((I'm in Idaho visiting Erin's grandparents. I'm currently using her dad's laptop because I have work stuff that I probably need to do while we're up here. If I have a chance to get my move in this round I will, otherwise, we should be back late Monday night-ish, so I could get it in byTuesday.))
